We make you unique teeth whitening trays which fit only your teeth. You then wear these trays for a set amount of time at home and they are filled with a special teeth whitening gel that has been prescribed by our dentists. We use two brands for this type of treatment – Boutique whitening and Pola whitening.

Philips Zoom! teeth whitening
Philips Zoom! teeth whitening is a fast treatment which is completed in about an hour. It gives excellent results which are instant and can whiten up to 7 shades.
Zoom! Teeth whitening is a good option if you want your teeth whitened quickly or if your teeth are severely discoloured or if you have sensitive teeth. Many patients report that they experience less or no sensitivity with this treatment.
Our expert team will apply a gel to your teeth that immediately starts to work down the stains on your teeth. A special lamp is placed over your teeth which helps the gel to speed up the process. After about an hour, your treatment is finished, and you will notice your new white teeth immediately!
Boutique teeth whitening
Whitening your teeth at home can be carried out at a time that is convenient to you. This treatment is also cost effective. After your initial appointment in which we take moulds of your teeth to make your whitening trays, you will then be shown how to wear the teeth whitening trays and for how long. Your dentist will give you a teeth whitening gel and will tell you how much you should put into your trays before wearing them.
Boutique by Day gives you fast results and will only need to be worn for 1 to 2 hours a day.
Boutique by Night is a slower process and needs to be worn for longer – usually overnight. The teeth whitening gel contains carbamide which is much gentler and works more gradually. This is a good option to consider if you have sensitive teeth.
Poladay and Polanight teeth whitening
Pola is another brand of teeth whitening treatment that you carry out at home. It operates in the same way as Boutique – you wear your whitening trays for a prescribed amount of time using the prescribed amount of teeth whitening gel. With Pola, you get to select the shade of white for your teeth too.
Poladay teeth whitening treatment uses hydrogen peroxide and works quickly so that you only need to wear your trays for about 30 minutes during the day. This is a good option if you want to whiten teeth quickly or you don’t want to have to wear your whitening trays for too long.
Polanight uses a slower acting chemical which means teeth whitening is gentler and more gradual. This treatment is usually carried out overnight. Again, this is a good option if you have sensitive teeth or you don’t want to wear your teeth whitening trays during the day.

Is there anything I need to do after having my teeth whitened?
You should avoid dark staining drinks and foods for the first 24 hours. This includes tea, coffee, red wine, curry, fruit juice, bolognese and red meat. You should not smoke for 24 hours or use coloured toothpaste or mouthwashes during this time either. Your dentist can give you more information at your initial consultation.
Can I get teeth whitening if I have veneers?
Teeth whitening treatments don’t work on dental restorations such as veneers, fillings, crowns or bridges. This means that if you have your teeth whitened, your restorations won’t change colour like the rest of your teeth and will be noticeable in your mouth. You can talk to your dentist about this and they can make recommendations. In some instances your existing restorations can be replaced.
Does teeth whitening hurt?
No, it won’t hurt, but you may experience some tingling sensations. Patients with sensitive teeth may find this uncomfortable. Your dentist will talk to you about this and work with you to find a teeth whitening solution that works for you.
